Goal of our life: Realize who we are. And Realise our relationship with the divinity.
Mantra 29. Eight Limbs of Yoga, for us to separate Purasa and Prakrti: Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi.
Mantra 30 – breaks down Yama (Social Conduct) and Niyamas (Personal Conduct).
Yama consists of nonviolence (Ahimsa), truthfulness, non-stealing, continence and non-greed.
Nonviolence (Ahimsa) – see the spiritual being in all animals, hence we don’t want to conduct offense to another living being as we are all under the law of karma. If there is an action, there is an equal reaction. To evolve spiritually, we don’t want to only be compassionate to human beings but also animals.
Truthfulness (Satya) – If we closely examine ourselves, we are always trying to hide something or trying to prove something we are not. It’s coming from the false ego, which is preventing us from being happy. Truthfulness allows our hearts to be lighter.
Non-stealing (Asteya) – Once spiritually evolved, we come to understand that whatever gifts you‘ve been given, that’s our karmic gifts. Be content with our own gifts. One thing people cannot steal from us is the spiritual evolution.
