“The samadhi in which name, form, and knowledge of them is mixed is called savitarka samadhi or samadhi with deliberation.”

Everything is energy, in another word, frequency. When we give an object a name, a sound vibration is associated with the object and an emotion is created for this object. When we call the name, a certain tension is generated inside of us. For example, we call a tiger Tiger. We call red Red, etc. So the word, the object and the knowledge about the object happen simultaneously. In this first stage of Samadhi, we are able to realise and arrest the whole process, hence see things as they are, then we start to be free from sense pulling and mental modifications.
These name labelings are helping us to identify the world and make associations with the world, but to go beyond it, we should realise a tiger is not a Tiger. It is a spiritual force behind the name and form animates the material body. This tiger is the spiritual force behind it. This is the next rung of samadhi.
